Job Description: We are seeking an experienced QC Inspector specializing in Painting to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting inspections of painting and coating processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect surface preparation, application of paint and coatings, and final appearance to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Evaluate and approve paint and coating materials, including verifying batch numbers and expiration dates.
- Conduct tests on paint and coating systems, including adhesion, thickness, and visual appearance.
- Review and interpret project specifications, industry standards, and manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Document inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the project team, subcontractors, and clients to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure that all painting and coating activities are performed in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a QC Inspector (Painting), preferably in the energy or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of painting and coating processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in inspection tools and equipment, such as wet and dry film thickness gauges.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certification or training in quality control, such as NACE or SSPC.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including project specifications and manufacturer’s data sheets.
